Payments

Woodlands County provides several options for residents to pay their bills, taxes and permits.


In-Person

The following forms of payments can be made in-person at either Woodlands County office:

  • Cash
  • Credit - Visa & Mastercard
  • Debit Card
  • Pre-Authorized Debit
  • Cheque
  • Bank Draft
  • Certified Cheque

Please be advised that payments made by credit card will incur a surcharge fee.


Mail

Cheques can be mailed to the following address:

To avoid tax penalty, cheques and mail should be dated on or before June 30.
To avoid utility penalty, cheques should be dated on or before the due date printed on the utility bill.

Do not send cash by mail. 


Online

Woodlands County residents can pay their bills online with a VISA or MasterCard through OptionPay, a third-party payment processor. Please note payments made by credit card will incur a surcharge fee and it may take 2 to 5 business days to process your payment. Please ensure that you know your daily and/or transaction processing limit when making credit card payments.

All transactions carried out through OptionPay follow a tiered fee schedule, starting at a minimum fee of $2.00. To see the full fee schedule for using this payment option, visit their fee schedule. Fees are administered through the OptionPay program for the use of their service and not through Woodlands County. Fees are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled.

Pay with credit card through OptionPay


Online Banking

Property tax and utility bill payments can be set up through online banking. Use the online banking platform from your financial institution and select Woodlands County as a Bill Payee. 

For tax payments, the account number to reference is the Tax Roll Number found on your tax notice or your Owner Number, if you have multiple properties under your name.  For utility bill payments, use the account number printed on your utility bill.
